Treatment for Balance Disorders
Have you ever felt like the room is spinning or that busy environments make you unsteady? You may be dealing with a problem affecting your vestibular system. Your vestibular system is responsible for supplying the brain with crucial information about your balance and steadiness. A problem with your vestibular system can leave you nauseated or unbalanced. Here at Erb Physical Therapy we can find the problem and set up a plan of care to get you back on your feet, enjoying life.
In certain cases treatment is immediately effective and symptoms can resolve with just one visit! Other times you will be put on a specific program aimed to strengthen your vestibular system. All patients seen are given a home exercise program to compliment their care. Our Balance and Vestibular Program is evidence-based and our therapists actively participate in continuing education so that you are assured to receive the most up to date and cutting-edge strategies.
Knowledge is Power
One of the most crucial parts of therapy is understanding your diagnosis, what caused your diagnosis, and how to maintain control of it. Patient education is emphasized by our staff so you are aware of why we are doing what we do. The coordination and communication we have with your physician allows us to make sure you know your diagnosis in and out.
